What the bleep is Deeksha?
by Meridian Grace, N.D.
If you are like me you have been to workshops, done vision quests,
surrendered to teachers, gurus, spent countless hours at churches,
temples or mosques desperately trying to find your way back to "the
kingdom of heaven", our natural awakened state. You may have tried
mantras, affirmations, yoga, tai chi, qi gong, journaling, rebirthing,
drugs, plowed through book after book, spiritual material etc. All
providing a temporary high, an aha or bliss ... and then what? Back
where we started. Like looking at a heart beat monitor, blipping
up but always coming back to the same starting point.
In March of this year I went to India. There I had the experience
of an opening into our intrinsic state of enlightenment, our flowered
heart, the indwelling divine within us being awakenened by a simple
touch called Deeksha. This process began there and is continuing
to open. And there are about 20 of us in Austin who can share this
with you. Who are we and how did this happen? We are just normal
people who went to India to spend 21 days with about 100 young enlightened
beings called Dasas. They were enlightened by Amma and Bhagavan,
a husband and wife Avatar team in southern India. Being in the presence
of these young enlightened beings gave me such hope. These young
dasas glowed with causeless love and joy. They were lit and lighting
all they encountered. It has been said that to tell the quality
of the teacher, check out their students. I knew from the moment
I encountered them, that this was real, that they were truly enlightened
and that you and I can actually be enlightened too. A collective
awakening can happen. And now that I have returned to Austin, despite
all that I hear on the news, I know that a collective awakening
is underway! You don't have to go to India for this to happen. Hundreds
of people have already done that and went through the process of
opening so that they could bring the deeksha home to you.
Perhaps it is because of the time of humanity, perhaps it is because
of the end of the Mayan Calendar, the prophecies of the Veda's,
Bible or Quran, that there is a major energetic shift taking place
on our planet allowing for mass enlightenment. All the ancients
knew it was coming and wrote about it in their sacred texts. The
Veda's speak about the time that we have recently emerged from as
the Kali Yuga, or the time of darkness. The remnants are still with
us, but we are emerging into the Golden Age of light. During the
Kali Yuga it took a life time of devoted spiritual practice and
austerities to achieve inner peace and enlightenment, and that is
if you were one of the "special ones". Amma and Bhagavan say that
we can all experience true peace, a love that is consistent, a causless
love, truly unconditional and authentic joy, through a blessing
similar to the laying on of hands that Jesus conferred. They waited
many years before they brought this out into the world, testing
to make sure that everyone could benefit by Deeksha and be able
to access their awakened state within. Since their purpose is oneness,
it would not do for any one to be left out if they desired this
state. Deeksha is the means. This is why an experience of causless
love and joy is available now through the phenomenon called Deeksha
that Amma and Bhagavan birthed it in a little town in Southern India.
Through the grace of this phenomena, over a thousand people have
already experienced enlightenment, millions have received Deeksha
and the process has begun within them.
According to Kiara Windrider, author of Fire From Heaven
and one of the first Americans to receive enlightenment from Bhagavan,
Bhagavan describes deeksha as an "electrical transmission of divine
energy resulting in neurobiological changes in the brain leading
to states of enlightenment." In an interview Bhagavan said this
about Deeksha "When we give deeksha it is like the passing on of
an electrical energy that affects the brain, the spinal cord, and
what we call the ductless glands or the chakras. So most of the
work is being done on the frontal lobes and the parietal lobes of
the brain. There is an activation of the frontal lobes (the oneness
and bliss centers of the brain) and a deactivation of the parietal
lobes (the separation, fear and survival centers of the brain),
plus some energies are sent into the ductless glands to reactivate
these chakras...., and a link is established between God and man.
Thereafter what happens is God's work."
Amma and Bhagavan say that enlightenment is a gift of grace, a
benediction or blessing, and we do not have to earn it. That is
so amazing to me. Before I went to India I was often doing as many
as 5 hours a day of spiritual practices, trying to be more aware
and raise my consciousness. When I went to India I found that every
one of us can receive enlightenment and all those practices I did,
all those books and hours of meditation possibly made it more difficult
for me because of all the beliefs and spiritual concepts that I
had acquired. Bhagavan has shared many times that the simple villagers
who have no spiritual training are often experiencing full enlightenment
easier than the rest of us because there is nothing that needs to
be burned through to get to their essential self. Bhagavan says
that God does not judge, only we judge.
Oneness is a reality that we rarely perceive, although it is essential
to our nature. With out its perception we experience an underlying
and often unconscious existential suffering. The suffering of loneliness.
We will do anything other than experience this existential suffering.
We long for oneness and the mind cannot give it to us. It takes
this bioneurological shift for our perceptions to open to the point
that we can experience what has always been there, just covered
up by what Bhagavan calls the mud. When the frontal lobe is activated
this mud can be chipped off by deeksha and your true nature is revealed.
Without Oneness there can be no true relationship. To enter into
another's reality and see the world through their eyes, feel the
world through their perceptions...this is true relationship. When
we experience true relationship, we can not harm the seeming other
because it would be the same as hurting ourselves. This is the beginning
of world peace. Oneness begins with compassion for ourselves then
our beloveds and friends then city, country and out into the world.
This oneness was only an intellectual concept until I received deeksha.
Then, the shifts started to take place in me (seemingly even in
spite of me)... and the oneness began to take hold of my life. How
is this possible? Because we already have it inside and we are unaware
of it like a fish unaware of the ocean.. Our brain, the instrument
of perception. just needs to be hooked up and Deeksha hooks us up
by retraining our neurobiological perception mechanisms to a vastly
expansive view. Just receive deeksha and the opening begins. As
long as the parietals are our primary operating system we are unaware
of the vast possibilities awaiting us. It has been said that the
most brilliant people who have ever lived only used a tiny percentage
of their brains. Let's open to the part of our brain that will allow
us to live in peace and harmony instead of fear, protection and
separation. When we are hooked up it will be natural to use our
technology to feed, heal and care for our blessed earth and all
her inhabitants instead of for personal gain, biological war fare,
nuclear bombs etc.
Deeksha givers are like candles. In India, the deekshas we received
burned away a lot of the superfluous material and left us able to
light your candle. Once you are lit, the process begins for you.
The dross burns, the neuro biological change begins to take place
and your authentic awakened you emerges. With all my heart, I welcome
you to come join us.
